IU to withdraw from KBS’s “Immortal Song 2″

Posted on June 6, 2011

IU has announced that she will be departing from KBS’s “Immortal Song 2” permanently.

A representative confirmed this decision today (June 6) through Star News, “The episode broadcast on the 4th will be her first and last, as she will be leaving the show.”

She will be replaced by SECRET’s, Song Ji Eun. It was also reported that F.T. Islands Hongki and 2pm’s Junsu will be joining the program’s future episodes.

IU felt overwhelmed with her schedule which includes her participation in other shows like “Kim Yuna’s Kiss & Cry” and her MC duties at Inkigayo. It is also said that IU will also be busy in preparation for her upcoming album which is scheduled to come out later this year.

My take:

I don’t really blame IU for her decision to cut down on some of her variety show appearances. I believe that having such a jam packed schedule at a young age can really be tiring and draining at the same time.

Besides I’d rather hear more of IU’s songs and see her healthy 😀

It’s nice to hear that she’ll be releasing a new album. I’m really looking forward to it!
